Helpful Links to Admission into Mississippi State University
Specify on your MSU application "Biochemistry" as your field of study (or major) to direct your application materials to our attention in the department once you are admitted. Note that the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology is housed in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. If known, you can also specify an area of concentration under Biochemistry as pre-medicine, pre-veterinary, pre-dental, pre-optometry, pre-pharmacy, forensics, bioinformatics, science, entomology, plant pathology, or pre-MBA which will allow us to further tailor your program to you once you are in the MSU system. If you are not sure of your concentration, we can assist you with this when we meet with you for advising or orientation, but be sure to specify "Biochemistry" as your intended major.
